The view from mum’s room isn’t stellar, but often, when the sun sets, it burnishes the room with gold. It arrives earlier and earlier every day. I’m often saddened when we don’t get to see it set. As much as I love snow, I do NOT like the short days. In a month, Alaska will be celebrating the solstice with joy. December 21 is a wonderful day! Hooray for longer days and sunsets over snow (really hoping for that latter part of the sentence!).

I watch the ones today and remember the song from ‘Fiddler on the Roof’. Oh, Tevye, where do we go from here? What will tomorrow be like? “Sunrise, sunset. Sunrise, sunset. Swiftly fly the years. One season following another. Laden with happiness and tears.”

Blessings laden with happiness and tears.
