Taken a week apart at different times of the day is one of the roses in the garden. I am humbled by these blooms. They were in the yard before we moved to our house. They have never looked good. They often have spots or other assorted leaf problems. They are usually covered in aphids when their petals open dubiously. I have almost decided to dig the thing up and trash it more than once.
Yet, this year, on a new trellis, it became beautiful. It has dozens of small buds ready to open to their golden hearts. What an incredible blessing to be given after so many years of questionable growth.
