Hope

Eons ago I wrote a children’s story. One of my dear friends edited it for me. It was a Christmas story about a little girl and a flute. Sort of like the Little Drummer Boy. It was based on a song I remember from when I was small. I know most of the words and tune even today. This was one of those overplayed favorite songs on a kid’s Christmas album and I cannot find the thing anywhere today.

I stopped working on the story when my daddy died. It sat in a drawer for years. This last week, memories started percolating again and I dug it out. Wow! It was good! I revised it a bit and printed it out for another friend to peruse. I can’t wait to see where it might go!

What a blessing it is to find things from the past leading into the future!
