Against the Wind

After the rain came lovely winds to blow away the clouds. The wind was exquisite to be out in, twisting strands of hair, bouncing the kayak as I traversed the waves, and bringing laughter on the crest of each breeze. Bob Seger wrote a song about being against the wind, it is a bit of a sad song, but the final verse has a lyric in it that evokes today’s experience. “I’m older now and still running against the wind..” It was a great feeling paddling around on bouncing water. It will be fun to do this more and eventually end up on a river or the ocean. What a blessing today was for experiencing things a little different than the norm.
